The SiteSuperintendent at the Cree Construction and Development Company is a strategic, hands-on leader who sets the standard for performance on the job site. This supervisory role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of field construction operations — from project start-up through completion. On larger or more complex projects, the Site Superintendent works closely with a Senior Superintendent, taking ownership of designated scopes of work and ensuring flawless execution within a remote fly-in / fly-out work environment.

Your Responsibilitie

  • Coordinate all daily site activities to ensure work progresses in accordance with contract documents, schedules,  and quality standards.
  • Lead and enforce compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements on site, including safety talks, orientations, inspections, and incident reporting.
  • Manage and maintain complete site documentation — daily logs, labour hours, equipment usage, materials, and deliveries.
  • Participate in schedule planning using MS Project, contribute to risk identification, and ensure timely problem  resolution in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Work closely with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities to maintain project progress and resolve field issues.
  • Supervise, mentor, and coach site personnel while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and pride in workmanship.

YourProfile

  • High school diploma required; diploma or  bachelor’s degree in Building Construction Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in site supervision, ideally in building construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction documents, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills — you keep the site moving and the team aligned.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and construction management software; knowledge of MS Project is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Comfortable and professional in a remote   fly-in / fly-out work environment.
  • Bilingualism  (French/English) required.
