Are you an experienced project manager who thrives on remote construction sites and wants to make your mark on meaningful northern projects? CCDC is looking for aProject Manager to oversee building and civil construction projects in theJames Bay region. Reporting to the Director of Construction, you will take ownership of the full project lifecycle — from planning through contract closeout.

Responsibilities

·      Lead all procurement and execution activities for construction projects in northern regions (Baie‑James, Nord‑du‑Québec), from initial planning to project close‑out.

·      Develop and maintain schedules, estimates, and budget forecasts while considering the logistical constraints of remote worksites.

·      Direct, supervise, and motivate your internal project team, fostering a culture of performance and rigor on site.

·      Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, subcontractors, and strategic suppliers.

·      Oversee the entire contract management process, applying strict cost control and close monitoring of payments to maximize project profitability.

·      Ensure effective coordination of plans, specifications, and technical requirements while managing project finances with precision.

·      Demon strate agility and creativity when facing unforeseen events or evolving client needs, proposing solutions adapted to northern realities.

Requirements

·      A degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, project management, or a related field — a combination of relevant experience and education will also be considered.

·      A minimum of 5 years of experience in a project management role within the construction industry, ideally on infrastructure or heavy civil engineering projects.

·      Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contract administration, cost control,building codes, and applicable Quebec legislation (CNESST, CCQ, etc.).

·      Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver results in complex, fast‑changing environments.

·      Excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine commitment to building long‑term relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

·      Geographic mobility to travel to remote worksites as required by operations.
