Director of Construction Operations' Message
![]() |
I am very pleased to have witnessed the evolution of CCDC which is now among the ten largest construction companies in Quebec and generates annual revenues exceeding 100 million dollars. It is greatly rewarding to preside as the Director of Construction Operations for CCDC as this organisation continues to grow and flourish. One of our main objectives continues to be the integration of the Cree workforce into a variety of projects. I would like to acknowledge the efforts of the Cree Human Resource Development (CHRD) and the Construction Commission of Quebec (CCQ) for its role in integrating Cree workers into the construction industry in Quebec. Our success can also be attributed to the hard work and dedication of all CCDC employees as well as our partners that have given us the opportunity to diversify the projects we are involved in. Our partnerships with Tataskweyak Cree Nation, Kashechewan, NEC, Nabashou, Tawich, Whapmag- Cree and ECP has led to CCDC’s extensive involvement in building Cree communities with the construction and renovation of houses, sports centers, office buildings and other types of industrial and commercial buildings.
CCDC is involved in projects in the environmental sector and special projects such as the closure of mining sites, reforestation, shoreline stabilization, remediation of former Hydro-Quebec sites and the rehabilitation of landing runways. CCDC has also constructed water treatment facilities, municipal infrastructure, sewers and aqueducts. CCDC has constructed roads in the James Bay region and has also demonstrated its expertise in road maintenance (managing more than 1,000 km of roads annually with our partners). Since 2002, we have been awarded over $ 600 million in contracts. This represents ten contracts in excess of $ 20 million. CCDC is now recognized as a leader in the industry, with the experience and resources to undertake major projects in remote and semi-remote areas.
