GESTION ADC GETS PROFIT 100 AWARD
A Cree company is one of the Fastest Growing Companies in Canada. Gestion ADC (1996) Inc., a catering and janitorial services company based in Chisasibi, Quebec, is the first Cree-owned company to make the PROFIT 100 list. It is a subsidiary of Cree Construction and Development Company (CCDC), which in turn is a subsidiary of Cree Regional Economic Enterprises Company Inc. (CREECO). These companies belong to the entire Cree Nation of Quebec.
Ultimately, the success of Gestion ADC benefits every member of each community in Eeyou Istchee.
Gestion ADC placed 27th among Quebec companies and 196th overall in the 20th annual PROFIT 100 of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies by PROFIT
Magazine. PROFIT 100 profiles the country’s most successful growth companies, ranking Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies by five-year revenue growth.
Gestion ADC achieved revenue growth of 270 per cent in the past five years – 2002 to 2007. The number of employees has jumped from 237 five years ago to 446 today in a company that prides itself on hiring Crees where possible.
William MacLeod, President of CCDC, the parent company, says Gestion ADC, has major contracts supplying meals to work camps at the hydro electric projects in the heart of the Cree Nation of Quebec. He is “overjoyed” by the announcement.
“This is an honour we share with every single worker who has ever been on our payroll,” says Anthony MacLeod, Director of Gestion ADC. “Without the entrepreneurial foresight of the Cree leadership using money wisely to establish this much-needed business, our success would not have been possible.”
